Description

• The Associate Counsel will report to Rula’s General Counsel and work closely with the Head of Legal and Rula’s Compliance Officer on a variety of topics, helping to navigate complex and challenging issues • Associate Counsel will provide interpretive guidance necessary for the rapidly expanding business, and will also be responsible for taking the lead on payor/partnership contract negotiations and assisting with other fast-paced legal initiatives • This person will apply their knowledge of the healthcare industry as well as their strong ability to communicate, issue spot and problem solve with the goal of making mental healthcare work for everyone

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school • Valid license to practice law • Member of the bar in good standing • Meet applicable state requirements to practice as an in-house corporate attorney • 8+ years of law firm, in-house or equivalent experience (i.e., business role, legal consultant) • Healthcare regulatory experience • Exceptional federal and state regulatory research and interpretive guidance skills • Strong contract negotiation experience • Strong communication skills that can bridge the gap between legal/compliance and the business to find the right solution
