Description
• Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace • Lead defining engineering strategy, and roadmap for a new digital platform focused on Aftersales, Service and Maintenance for Scout’s vehicles • Partner with cross-functional partners to produce how and when plans to support systems and product requirements • Develop technology and best practices capable of supporting scalable, functional, and reliable software products and their associated integrations • Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to evolve and scale • Recruit and manage a team of software engineers, setting the bar for quality software development
Requirements
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and scaling software products • Experience building comprehensive understanding of APIs, gRPC, microservices, and other complex backend systems • Strong coding skills, navigating codebases with different languages • Experience as a technical lead for large projects (6+ months in length) spanning multiple teams and functions • Ability to internalize the best ideas from across the organization • 5+ years in leading high-performing software engineering teams
