• Prospect and generate leads: Identify and reach out to potential customers through various methods, such as cold calling, networking and referrals. • Conduct sales presentations: Meet with clients to understand their needs and present product or service offerings. Explain added value offerings, answer questions, address any concerns. • Build and maintain relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with existing and new clients to maximize sales opportunities. Provide exceptional customer service and prompt response to ensure customer satisfaction. • Achieve sales targets: Set goals and targets. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share. • Manage a geographic territory: Provide driven penetration into the territory with appropriate levels of face-to-face customer contact. Travel within the geographic territory as appropriate overnight travel up to 40-50%. • Stay updated on industry trends: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Use the knowledge to identify opportunities. • Sales reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, with the use of a CRM. Provide customer interactions, sales forecasts. Communicate with insights to sales management. • Collaborate with Internal teams: Coordinate with inside sales, service department, marketing, and customer support team. Share customer feedback and market insights to contribute to business growth. • Attend trade shows, events, and product training: Represent the company at industry trade shows, events, product training, and conferences to showcase products or services and generate leads. Minimal out of state travel may be required for product training or scheduled sales meetings. • Personal organization: Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, manage schedules and maintain frequent communication with clients, prospects, and other company team members. Be self-starting and driven. • Strong interpersonal skills: Communicate effectively in person as well as in writing. Be comfortable with the use of Microsoft office products.
• At least 4 years of outside sales experience. Previous municipal water experience is highly preferred. • Ability to travel throughout Wisconsin. 6-8 days a month of overnight travel. • Proven track record of successful municipal pump sales is desired. • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Valid state-issued driver's license and insurance. • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with CRM systems
