Description

• Verra Mobility is seeking a Solution Architect responsible for making high-level design choices and decisions for software projects. • Taking a bird’s-eye view of a project to decide on platforms, languages, frameworks, and technologies. • Ensuring development teams follow best practices, coding standards, and technical requirements. • Guiding the software development process through high-level decision making. • Coaching and mentoring software engineers, programmers, and other team members. • Creating and maintaining design and code standards. • Serving as a technical liaison among project managers, developers, and stakeholders. • Evaluating new technologies for alignment with future business objectives. • Leading Architecture and code reviews of the software. • Overall project planning and tracking progress.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent work experience. • Minimum 7-10 Years’ Experience with software development. • Minimum 5-7 Years’ Experience in Software Architecture. • Experience with legacy software migration. • Experience in cloud native technologies and best practices. • Experience with CI/CD best practices. • Ability to lead Architecture and code reviews of the software. • Experience with containerized environments and coding best practices. • Experience with enterprise-level software development tools. • Understanding of software development processes and methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Integration. • Experience working with source control management tools such as GIT. • Ability to lead overall product vision and lead feature definitions. • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance. • Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision. • Clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal. • Familiarity with software development frameworks, such as Spring. • Familiarity with software delivery platforms, such as Atlassian’s Jira, Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Apache’s Subversion. • Big picture problem-solving skills. • Outside the box thinker.
