Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy • Amplify organization's expert reputation • Develop and implement an effective marketing funnel • Co-develop a communications strategy • Collaborate with other directors and staff • Set, track, and analyze metrics • Lead the communications department • Manage relationships with contractors and vendors • Develop and implement systems and processes • Manage organization's branding guide • Oversee production of all publications • Oversee marketing funnel for subscribers and donors • Oversee ads program • Develop and deepen relationships with media • Oversee traditional media functions • Monitor news cycle and relevant coverage • Prepare Executive Director for media appearances • Oversee digital presence • Oversee storytelling projects

Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience in marketing and communications • At least two years of experience driving social strategies and content development • At least two years of experience managing staff and contractors • Strong existing relationships with media outlets • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Proven ability to distill complex issues • Goal-oriented and detail-oriented • Ability to leverage data and analytics • Experience identifying and training media spokespeople • Understanding of brand standards • Experience with Mailchimp • Willingness to work outside normal office hours • Working understanding of criminal justice and/or finance industry • Genuine commitment to organizational values
