📋 Description

• Implement applications following 12-factor principles and deliver iterative product enhancements • Own the full stack of software products • Develop and implement web or mobile frontends and backend services • Use test-driven development and continuous integration to ensure product agility and quality • Participate in team decision-making to select the simplest appropriate technology and design • Participate in iteration planning and establish shared understanding of backlog stories and chores • Execute product strategy while keeping customer needs in mind • Collaborate with the team to design systems and applications • Participate in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups • Participate in retrospectives and derive actionable improvements for the team and product • Support software products in user environments • Share knowledge and contribute to the team’s collective growth • Practice daily paired programming and test-driven development • Establish continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices • No supervisory duties

🎯 Requirements

• 2 to 10 years of experience • Experience and knowledge developing REST APIs using Java Spring Boot • Experience with Swagger, REST-docs, or OpenAPI specification • Experience with API versioning and service discovery/registration • Hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale distributed cloud systems/applications • Experience with Microservices architectures • Experience with web and API security, including authentication, authorization, OAuth, OWASP, OpenID, and SAML • Experience in backend development design and implementation • Experience with databases, including MongoDB and caching • Experience with Kafka messaging • Knowledge and experience using Git and distributed version control systems • Experience with artifact management, build and packaging systems, Maven, Gradle, npm, Artifactory, and Jenkins or similar CI tools • Experience working in an Agile environment or paired programming/engineering model • Experience with test-driven development and writing unit tests for front-to-back coverage • Experience with problem-solving and performance analysis • Experience using Python is a plus • Background investigation required • Must have a dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions and appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
