• Train, mentor, and provide quality control and technical assistance for Specialty Vehicle material damage • Handle assigned complex specialty vehicle material damage claims with little or no supervision • Conduct training in specialty vehicle material damage handling and appraising • Serve as a subject matter expert for staff, field teams, technicians, and vendors • Maintain understanding of National General Specialty Vehicle policies and the insurance industry • Receive claim assignments and document appropriate information • Review photos, determine repairability, and complete assessments or total-loss evaluations • Evaluate settlement alternatives for regulatory compliance and fair claims practices • Identify and refer potential subrogation or fraud based on physical evidence • Stay informed about collision repair industry, statutory, and regulatory changes • Contact customers regarding repair processes, settlements, and offers when appropriate • Document file activity and payment or settlement information • Conduct file quality reviews of appraisal channels, including staff, independent appraisers, DRP shops, and vendors • Complete accurate estimates up to $300,000 with little to no supervision and navigate larger estimates as needed • Participate in catastrophe events • Travel for field staff ride-alongs, site audits, and training • Take ownership of issues that could impact policyholders or loss participants

🎯 Requirements

• Estimating experience with an automated estimating system • Ability to accurately assess significant damage on RVs and/or commercial vehicles • Hands-on training in a repair facility or training center specific to Specialty Vehicles • Effective organization and time management skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Solid command of claims policies and procedures • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • General understanding of vehicle property damage repair and replacement, including mechanical components and other exposures • Ability to identify, investigate, and conclude material damage coverage investigations • General knowledge of unibody/conventional frame damage and repair processes • Effective verbal and written communication and ability to collaborate with others • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) • Initiative, mature judgment, and discretion • Ability to empathize with customers and resolve conflicts • Ability to develop and deliver material damage training remotely and in person • Adjuster license in the home state or a state requiring examination and continuing education • Previous material damage claims handling experience • Management experience in a repair facility • General understanding of insurance law related to claims • Fraud training • RV Estimatics, RV Policy, Motorcycle Estimatics, and Heavy Equipment Estimating proficiency • I-CAR Certification • Other specialty certifications such as RVIA/RVDA, RVTA, or ASE • Authorization to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas • Dedicated, private workspace and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload for home working
