📋 Description

• Define and maintain the overall technical architecture across all products • Create and communicate roadmaps for platform evolution, modernization, and technical debt reduction • Set standards for security, code quality, deployment, and observability across engineering teams • Own technology selection decisions based on long-term goals • Drive migration from bespoke customer customizations to a scalable, configuration-driven product model • Lead architectural decisions for Azure-hosted software, including resource standardization, cost optimization, and environment consistency across cloud and on-premises deployments • Define and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes • Design and oversee evolution of the API layer, including identity management, authorization, containerization, and tenant isolation • Oversee reporting architecture, including transition away from Crystal Reports • Partner with Product Management to align technical strategy and product roadmap • Communicate technical decisions and business implications to Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and senior leadership • Mentor and provide technical direction to engineering teams • Champion engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on expertise with C# • Understanding of the C#/.NET migration landscape and modernization decisions • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React or Angular • Expert-level SQL Server knowledge, including query optimization, schema design, and reporting infrastructure • Experience with SSRS and SSIS required • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services • Experience designing and enforcing security standards, including secrets management, tenant isolation, authentication and authorization patterns, and API security • 3+ years of experience, with meaningful experience in senior or principal engineering or architecture roles • Experience designing, shipping, and maintaining Windows-based desktop applications strongly preferred • Understanding of installers, upgrade paths, configuration management, multi-version support, and on-premises Windows environments strongly preferred • Experience with legacy Delphi codebases preferred • AWS experience, particularly S3 and multi-cloud considerations, preferred • Practical experience with Docker and container orchestration preferred • Familiarity with compliance-driven, government-adjacent software environments advantageous but not required
