• Drive multiple customer solution design projects in parallel • Conduct business and technical discovery with customers • Develop novel solutions, architectures, and use cases to help customers meet their objectives • Provide robust recommendations for engagements while identifying critical dependencies and gaps • Present proposals to senior government officials • Continuously improve the team’s knowledge, methodologies, and inventory of solution design blueprints • Lead solution design across DHS platforms, including Microsoft, ServiceNow, modern frameworks, and Drupal • Develop target and reference architectures • Ensure compliance, scalability, and reusability • Design interface, quality assurance, performance, and cost-benefit standards for information systems • Analyze available technologies and recommend which technologies to use and how best to use them • Drive projects end to end from ideation to deployment • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to arrive at the best solution • Support application analysis, architectural design, engineering, development, maintenance, and operations for the DHS program
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable experience • 8 years’ experience combined in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture • 7 years software development experience • Microsoft Certification, Azure Cloud required • ServiceNow Architect Certified, preferred • US Citizen • Ability to successfully complete a government issued background investigation • Ability to obtain a Public Trust • Prior Public Trust or Security Clearance, preferred • Superior verbal and written communication skills • Ability to clearly convey complex technical and programmatic topics to diverse stakeholders • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities • Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into actionable plans • Ability to motivate and guide technical teams • Ability to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement • Experience working in a top-tier technical consulting or software development environment • Ability to independently apply engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out, and support of information systems architectures
