📋 Description

• Design and architect AI IT systems integrating business processes, customer experiences, applications, data, machine learning models, generative AI, and technology platforms • Lead planning, evaluation, and optimization of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation capabilities • Ensure integrated AI architecture across technology systems, data platforms, cloud and on-premises environments, and customer-facing digital channels • Create and manage AI architecture blueprints, standards, reference architectures, and governance frameworks • Develop technical design recommendations for integrating AI, machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI platform capabilities into products, services, and applications • Identify and mitigate AI solution, model performance, ethical AI, security, compliance, and design risks • Establish and promote Responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, explainability, privacy, security, guardrails, observability, Evals, model governance, and regulatory compliance • Attract, retain, coach, recognize, and develop AI architecture talent • Direct AI architecture and transformation strategies across multiple business units • Advise technical teams and optimize AI-enabled solutions for strategic, operational, secure, and economical outcomes • Participate in system specification reviews and ensure scalable, explainable, secure, and sustainable architecture designs • Research technologies, perform proofs of concept and prototypes, and recommend foundation models, LLM platforms, AI agents, AI tools, and LLMOps/AIFinOps capabilities • Deliver AI-powered solutions supporting customer experience, personalization, engagement, and operational efficiency • Provide architectural input to business cases, including feasibility, risks, AI value realization, guardrails, Evals, observability, scalability, and Responsible AI • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives integrating data, analytics, AI platforms, machine learning, and customer-facing technologies • Serve as a senior AI architect and strategic advisor across BMO • Collaborate with product management, AI engineering, risk, compliance, legal, customer experience teams, AI vendors, and cloud providers • Communicate complex AI concepts, business value, technical trade-offs, model risks, and governance requirements clearly • Anticipate AI and customer expectation trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework, Risk Culture, Risk Appetite, AI governance standards, model risk management, privacy regulations, cybersecurity controls, and Responsible AI principles
