📋 Description

• Design and develop Appian applications including process models, interfaces, records, sites, integrations, and expression rules • Build and maintain Appian Connected Systems and Integration Objects for system-to-system data exchange • Develop reusable components, data types, and expression rules across delivery pods • Collaborate with Appian Configuration Analysts, business analysts, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives • Conduct unit testing and code reviews; support integration testing, UAT, and defect resolution • Optimize application performance through query design, caching strategies, and Appian best practices • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and deployment procedures • Support application packaging, environment promotion, and release validation • Mentor junior developers on Appian development best practices, design patterns, and Federal acquisition domain knowledge • Support CACI's Department of Veterans Affairs modernization program serving 26,000+ users

🎯 Requirements

• US citizen with ability to pass Tier 2 background investigation • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field; 3+ additional years of relevant IT experience may be considered in lieu of degree • 3–7 years of experience in software development • At least 1 year of Appian development or low-code platform experience • Experience developing applications using low-code/no-code platforms or business process management tools • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, object-oriented programming concepts, and database design • Proficiency with web services, APIs, or system integration development • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to code quality and maintainability • Appian Certified Associate Developer or Appian Certified Senior Developer certification desired • Hands-on experience developing Appian applications desired • Experience supporting Federal government system modernization programs desired • Knowledge of Federal acquisition lifecycle, contracting processes, or FAR/VAAR regulations desired • Advanced SQL skills desired • Prior experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery desired • Programming experience with Java, JavaScript, or Python desired • Familiarity with Azure cloud environments, SaaS application development, or containerization desired • Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, or enterprise integration patterns desired • Understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing desired • Background in user experience design or Section 508 accessibility standards desired • Experience with data migration, ETL processes, or data transformation logic desired
