📋 Description

• Build systems that enable CompanyCam to charge for and package the value it provides • Design, implement, and deliver complex cross-cutting features and systems using Ruby on Rails, Postgres, GraphQL, REST, React, and React Native • Lead technical debt and system reliability efforts, identifying refactoring and optimization opportunities • Influence and evolve architecture and system design across services and applications • Uphold standards for code quality, testing coverage, and documentation • Mentor other developers • Improve internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems • Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making around trade-offs • Escalate and resolve complex technical challenges • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers during discovery and feature development • Contribute to the culture and processes of a growing engineering team • Work with continuous discovery habits and flexible Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Shape Up practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (not all years are set in stone) • Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and/or other MVC frameworks • Relational database expertise, including designing and optimizing scalable data models and APIs • Production familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq • Proficiency in React • Full-stack experience across front-end, back-end, and data layers • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to build, enhance, or optimize product tools and features • Ability to handle complex tasks and ambiguous problems without guidance • Understanding of business trade-offs and ability to communicate technical risks and benefits • Ability to provide mentorship and proactive feedback • Must live and work permanently in the United States • AWS, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, React Native, Terraform, GraphQL, and large language model integration experience are nice-to-haves, not required
