📋 Description

• Architect, design, and develop high-performance microservices using Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud • Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka • Own API strategy for RESTful services, including JSON modeling, backward-compatible versioning, and API governance • Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and coding best practices • Design and implement ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data • Lead data migration efforts for legacy-to-cloud or system-to-system transitions • Establish data quality, profiling, and governance practices • Work with clinical data formats, mapping, transformations, and normalization • Build and maintain CI/CD automation, automated testing, security scanning, artifact provenance, and policy gates • Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform • Drive SecDevOps practices including threat modeling, secure coding, dependency scanning, secrets management, and container hardening • Implement observability frameworks with tracing, dashboards, alerts, and SLOs • Integrate microservices with EHR systems using HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and standard healthcare APIs • Support patient data exchange, interoperability, and HIPAA-aligned data flows • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to implement regulatory safeguards • Serve as a senior technical leader on a cross-functional product team developing scalable healthcare technology solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise environments • 7+ years of experience developing applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing microservices architectures • 3+ years of experience with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices • 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes • 2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, including GCP, AWS, or Azure • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) • Experience integrating with healthcare systems using FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR, or EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or MEDITECH • Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing engineering decisions across teams • Strong understanding of software design principles, scalable architectures, and distributed systems • Experience building and operating solutions on Google Cloud Platform • Experience with large-scale application modernization, cloud transformation, or data migration programs • Knowledge of ETL processes, data quality practices, and healthcare data management • Experience with Spring Batch, Dataflow, or cloud-native data processing frameworks • Understanding of security best practices including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, secrets management, and vulnerability management • Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or similar platforms • Knowledge of regulated healthcare environments, including HIPAA and HITRUST requirements • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
