📋 Description

• Lead the technical staff and technical baseline of the Autonomous and Unmanned Systems Domain, mentoring and growing software and DevSecOps engineers • Own architectural decisions aligned with secure software development, application security, and CI/CD best practices • Communicate technical priorities with product management and manage technical complexity, scalability, and maintainability • Ensure cohesive architecture across capabilities and integration with the common platform baseline • Translate operational imperatives into product capabilities aligned with mission objectives • Serve as technical leader across software, communications, and platform technologies • Deliver interfaces for individual assets and fleets of autonomous and unmanned systems • Design and implement data-rich UIs reflecting real-time distributed-system state • Develop workflows for deploying, updating, and monitoring systems across edge, remote, and disconnected environments • Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, platform services, and communications technologies • Partner with UX to create intuitive user experiences for complex system behavior • Develop unit, integration, and user acceptance testing strategies • Define technical roadmaps with customers and product stakeholders • Evaluate technologies and products for mission capability, architecture, and security impact • Support customer integrations, demonstrations, testing events, and operational exercises • Communicate and execute effectively in an asynchronous, fully remote environment

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading technical teams developing complex software systems • Expertise solving highly technical problems across multiple knowledge domains • Hands-on technical depth in at least two areas: autonomous/unmanned systems; tactical-edge networking; distributed systems; container and software supply chain tooling • Familiarity with ROS2/DDS, MAVLink, CoT/TAK, and at least one interoperability standard: STANAG 4586/4817, JAUS, Link16/TADL-J, OMS/UCI, or MOSA/SOSA • Experience leading remote engineering teams across distributed organizations • Experience defining technical roadmaps and partnering with product management • Expertise analyzing complex problems and implementing innovative solutions • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fully remote environment • U.S. Citizenship • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance • Preferred: Special Operations processes and solutions, tactical communications/radio/edge networking integration, TAK Server, CoT schemas, ATAK plugins, edge AI hardware, DoD ATO systems, automated testing, Agile methodologies, Kubernetes, and active Secret or Top Secret clearance
