📋 Description

• Respond to infrastructure support requests and triage and investigate complex issues • Perform Ubuntu and other OS hardening, including Windows and Linux systems • Provision and deploy infrastructure using Terraform • Automate infrastructure through Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) • Provision AMIs • Make updates to address vulnerabilities • Mentor fellow engineers • Architect scalable infrastructure solutions • Support critical USCIS systems and an ecosystem serving 14 development teams • Communicate with peers and manage multiple MS Teams issue threads • Participate in daily and weekly agile ceremonies, including standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives • Support monthly patching on weekends for approximately two hours

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to receive DHS EOD suitability • U.S. Citizenship required • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work in a high-speed, delivery-focused environment • Ability to work on a fully remote team and maintain delivery tempo • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies • Experience with CI/CD automated pipelines • Experience with AWS and its services, including EKS, ECS, RDS, SQS, and SES • Experience with IAC frameworks such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code • Containerization best practices • Git or alternative source code repositories • Secondary: monitoring and observability tools including New Relic and Splunk • Secondary: Kubernetes or other container orchestration platform experience • Secondary: streaming platforms such as Kafka • Secondary: database administration with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence • Active GitHub profile
