📋 Description

• Drive security design and best practices across cloud, platform, and client implementations • Craft, deploy, and expand engineering components and services aligned with EVgo’s strategic goals • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to assess trade-offs and deliver solutions for new products and services • Work within cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete software solutions • Provide technical guidance and advocate for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost efficiency • Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews • Contribute expertise to greenfield projects and drive innovative solutions • Lead key components of EVgo’s platform and shape its technical roadmap across the engineering organization • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data, and Marketing teams to align technical strategy with organizational objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience • Prior experience in identity, authorization, and billing domains is highly desirable • Experience designing ReBAC authorization models on OpenFGA is preferred • Proficiency with AWS, IoT, and compliance concerns • Forward-looking understanding of the evolving security landscape • Understanding of threats and opportunities posed by AI is preferred • Experience leading substantial initiatives from inception to completion • Experience designing and implementing security strategies for public-facing software products, including API protection, client/backend communication, and software supply chain • Experience with the Node.js ecosystem is strongly preferred • Experience iteratively hardening existing systems and proactively assessing future risk • Architectural mindset with attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, observability, and monitoring tools • Ability to collaborate across Software Engineering, Product, and additional teams • Experience maintaining, analyzing, and debugging Node.js services in production environments • Willingness to embrace mistakes as learning opportunities and use blameless postmortems • Commitment to striving for excellence
