📋 Description

• Lead, hire, develop, and coach software engineers through performance management, mentorship, and career development • Develop and execute the team’s engineering roadmap while balancing business priorities, delivery, platform reliability, technical debt, and operational excellence • Guide architectural direction and technical decision-making for shared services and platform capabilities • Establish engineering standards, development practices, and operational processes to improve scalability, reliability, maintainability, delivery effectiveness, and developer productivity • Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and other Engineering teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities and shared services • Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional partners on long-term platform strategy, roadmap direction, and technical priorities • Guide technical decisions involving APIs, integrations, shared services, cloud platforms, and modern application architecture • Foster responsible use of AI-assisted development across the software development lifecycle • Support appropriate management, operational, and technical security controls and adhere to GoodRx security policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Proven experience leading, hiring, retaining, and developing high-performing, geographically distributed software engineering teams • Experience designing, building, and operating highly available cloud-native applications, distributed systems, APIs, integrations, and platform services • Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices, GraphQL, React, and Next.js • Experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis/ElastiCache, document databases, CI/CD pipelines, API management, observability platforms, and cloud-native application architecture • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and fostering responsible AI-enabled engineering workflows • Experience leading teams delivering and evolving high-performance, large-scale distributed systems across modern cloud environments • Experience leading Agile engineering teams and improving engineering processes, delivery practices, and team effectiveness • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives, manage delivery risk, and drive predictable execution • Organizational competencies and project management skills • Ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to distill complicated topics for broader audiences • Strong problem-solving and creative skills, sound judgment, and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses • Healthcare and/or pharmacy experience is a plus • Ability to follow security policies and procedures and identify potential security threats
