📋 Description

• Administer federal, state, local, employee, and employer payroll taxes • Research, analyze, and set up payroll tax data • Prepare and reconcile tax returns and payroll tax documents • Balance weekly, quarterly, and annual interface files reporting wages and taxes • Balance W-2s and prepare W-2Cs as needed • Review audit reports and handle taxable wage and tax inquiries • Resolve problems through workflow analysis and process changes • Establish proper controls and ensure SOX compliance • Support tax and accounting-related projects through fact finding • Ensure payroll tax liabilities, expenses, and payments are properly posted to the general ledger • Ensure new earnings codes are taxed and reported properly • Work with the tax filing vendor on filings, remittances, inquiries, audits, requirements, invoices, and disputes • Report to the Payroll Manager with no direct supervisory responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job • 5 years of work experience • Payroll tax filing and reconciliation experience required • Knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance preferred • Strong analytical skills requiring process and data analysis • Strong quantitative skills utilizing statistics and complex formulas • Strong computer skills (Excel, Access, Word, mainframe applications) • Strong oral and written communication skills
