📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers building and designing customer- and associate-facing products • Create, deploy, maintain, and support production applications • Assist with product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring • Contribute reusable foundational code, architectural diagrams, and product documentation • Develop test suites, including functional and destructive tests, to enable rapid production deployment • Work with Product Teams to make user stories developer-ready, understandable, and testable • Collaborate in agile processes with other team members • Field questions from product and engineering teams • Guide junior engineers on modern software development frameworks and lead technical discussions • Identify team gaps and suggest changes to improve productivity • Report typically to a Software Engineering Manager or Senior Manager • Maintain no direct reports • No travel required

🎯 Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • 3 years minimum work experience • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field related to the job • Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably GCP • Experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform and Ansible • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, and preferably Java • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases • Experience with cloud computing techniques and CI/CD tools • Experience with modern software design patterns • Experience in monitoring and observability • Experience with data modeling in relational and NoSQL databases • Experience with security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication • Experience creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests • Experience with debugging and root cause analysis • Experience with version control systems • Experience designing systems for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, efficiency, and security • Exposure to technical roadmaps, work estimation, refactoring, and legacy-system modernization • No certifications required
