📋 Description

• Partner with leadership to execute HR strategy for talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning • Administer benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance and talent management, occupational health and safety, and training and development programs • Manage employee files, transfers, compensation changes, address changes, verifications, benefits administration, and documentation • Support employee onboarding and offboarding administrative tasks • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations • Oversee accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing • Plan and execute virtual and in-person culture events • Serve as a trusted liaison and people-first partner to employees • Evaluate and onboard vendors, including selecting a PEO partner for HR, payroll, and benefits administration • Hire, onboard, coach, and manage a direct report to build a high-functioning HR team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, including at least 1 year in a distribution setting • Experience serving as HR for a distribution company in a heavily regulated industry • Strong understanding of compliance, licensing, and safety complexities in a regulated distribution environment • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organizational development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development • Prior people management experience required, including hiring, coaching, and performance management of direct reports • PEO experience required • Cannabis industry experience required • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive for extended periods of time • SHRM/PHR certification is a plus • Google Suite experience recommended
