📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain business applications and enhancements • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application issues to ensure system stability and performance • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for IBM i applications, programs, and databases • Ensure application security, data integrity, and adherence to development standards and best practices • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions • Participate in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support • Develop and maintain technical, functional, and process documentation • Evaluate existing systems and processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability • Research emerging technologies and development practices to identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation • Work with third-party vendors to support integrations and business application functionality • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to IT team members and end users • Deliver user and technical training related to applications, processes, and system enhancements • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders • Participate in after-hours support activities and system implementations as needed • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • 6+ years of application development experience • Strong experience with RPG IV, RPG ILE, RPG Free, CL, and IBM i environments • Experience gathering business requirements and delivering technical solutions • Experience supporting application integrations and working with third-party vendors • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise business applications • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Knowledge of software development methodologies and SDLC practices • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments • Ability to participate in after-hours support activities and system implementations as needed • Ability to work at a desk throughout the day • Ability to use a computer monitor requiring close vision • Ability to use a telephone for listening and speaking
