📋 Description

• Work with data stewards to capture, validate, and certify data definitions • Map data assets across Finance, Commercial, HR, Marketing, and other business domains • Improve Excel- and Python-based metadata intake processes and identify automation opportunities • Facilitate definition workshops with domain owners and business stakeholders • Recommend business definitions, metric descriptions, calculation logic, ownership assignments, stewardship responsibilities, and related terms • Follow up with stakeholders to maintain progress across domains • Resolve cross-domain terminology conflicts • Clean and validate metadata inputs before uploading them to Unity Catalog • Upload approved definitions into Unity Catalog and verify their accuracy, searchability, discoverability, and usability • Maintain a centralized business glossary and metadata repository • Establish governance standards, approval workflows, certification workflows, and lifecycle management processes • Identify and catalog data assets, including tables, columns/fields, reports, dashboards, KPIs, and metrics • Analyze relationships between data assets and business concepts • Review metadata submissions for completeness and accuracy • Support metadata audits, remediation activities, and ongoing lifecycle management • Create user guides, SOPs, process documentation, handover documentation, and train operational teams

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience • Experience in data stewardship • Experience with Databricks • Experience with Databricks Data Governance • Experience with Unity Catalog • Strong Python skills (good to have) • Experience with Microsoft Excel • Experience with Power BI/Tableau (preferred) • Experience with Azure Data Platform (preferred) • Experience with Jira/Confluence • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to work with data stewards, business owners, domain experts, and stakeholders • Ability to facilitate definition workshops and drive consensus on standardized terminology • Ability to document business definitions, metrics, KPIs, critical data elements, and metadata governance processes
