📋 Description

• Define requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence new designs and standards • Provide support, leadership and motivation for project teams • Create and maintain SLOs and KPIs • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Support teams • Engage with support, operations, hardware, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems • Manage incidents and conduct post-mortem reviews • Participate in on-call rotations • Guide restoration and repair of service-impacting issues • Develop and implement automation and efficiency improvements for Akamai compute infrastructure and services • Support customer-facing applications and infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent • Experience architecting hardware, software, and infrastructure at scale • Expert-level experience in a Development or SysAdmin role • Experience working with large scale distributed systems • Ability to align with strategic business initiatives and coordinate the work of other engineers • Excellent communication, mentorship, and interpersonal skills • Informed opinions on technology and software design • Deep domain expertise on Linux, hardware, and performance tuning
