• Support ongoing operations and maintenance of the ODHS/ODDS eXPRS application • Identify and remediate application bugs • Complete operational, enhancement, performance, maintenance, refactoring, user interface, data, and reporting requests in the eXPRS ADOS backlog • Develop and deliver eXPRS application updates, software code changes, and documentation • Document completed enhancements and maintain complete system documentation • Complete defect and change requests involving code modifications • Engage with system and business experts and attend daily Scrum meetings • Work with the ODHS business product owner to understand functional requirements and timelines • Document solution options, impacted system areas, dependencies, and capability gaps • Work with the ODHS project technical architect to understand technical standards and document technical design • Review level of effort and timelines with the OIS technical manager and technical lead • Provide transparency into work performed and required deliverables • Produce sprint status reports • Follow Azure DevOps (ADOS), issue-tracking, Agile Scrum, requirements-management, design, development, and coding standards • Participate in daily and weekly sprint planning and review meetings with SDD and BSU eXPRS teams • Advise on incremental requirements definition and delivery • Demonstrate requirements through functional prototypes and document stakeholder feedback • Deliver technical specifications covering database, interface-program, batch-program, application-module, and use-case changes • Transition concepts and enhancements to existing team members for ongoing support
• 10+ years of experience with J2EE • 10+ years of experience with IBM DB2 UDB • 10+ years of experience with Java • 10+ years of experience with Eclipse • Prior state government experience within the last five years • 1–3 years of eXPRS Application Development experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related degree • Familiarity with software development methodologies, standards, coding best practices, and general debugging procedures • Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases • Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL • Knowledge of .NET languages, HTML, and web architecture • Must work in the United States of America • Must be a United States citizen or have a valid United States visa/authorization to work in the USA • Consistent access to high-speed internet, cellular phone/landline phone, web camera, and microphone • Availability during Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, as agreed with management
• Remote work approved • Remote onboarding for the first day • Potential telecommuting by agreement with the Agency Authorized Representative • Access to Agency systems via VPN or similar software • Work-from-home flexibility contingent on providing own adequate computer, monitor(s), Internet connection, and telephone • Standard Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time schedule, except Oregon holidays and business closures
