📋 Description

• Provide leadership and guidance to field personnel maintaining hotel equipment, systems, and building components • Assist Regional Director of Operations and Hotel General Managers with annual property-level staffing and budgeting • Assist with interviewing and selecting Area Chief Engineers, Property-Level Chief Engineers, and maintenance supervisors • Train property-level engineering leadership and educate engineers on safety protocols and legal compliance • Monitor preventative maintenance program goals using communication and Quore electronic PM software • Provide guidance on reducing energy usage through training and best practices • Establish procedures for securing hotel inventory and assets, replenishing engineering supplies, and managing paperwork • Ensure electronic preventive-maintenance logs remain current • Follow up on life-safety inspections, deficiencies, and documentation • Provide frontline operational support during mechanical emergencies and natural disasters • Establish written emergency procedures for property engineering staff • Conduct property engineering audits twice per year through Quore • Lead special capital projects, including major mechanical replacements • Report property issues and projects bi-weekly to the corporate engineering team • Assist properties with securing and reviewing competitive capital-project bids • Catalog property mechanical equipment and maintain equipment and warranty records in Quore • Inform Corporate Engineering leadership about asset-preservation recommendations during budgeting • Provide input on engineering staff performance during property visits • Practice and promote safe work habits • Perform additional responsibilities as required by executive management

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field is required • Certification in one or more of the following trades preferred- HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Project Management required • Five years of Director of Engineering or management level engineering and maintenance experience in hospitality and/or related field (commercial property/residence, health care, etc.) • Multi-property experience preferred • Exceptional leadership skills • Hospitality industry standards for employee/guest interaction and professionalism • Superior written and verbal communication skills • Valid Driver’s License • Extensive travel (75%) required • Availability to work varying schedules, including holidays, weekends, or alternate shifts • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch • Ability to support properties located in TX, KY, TN, MO, and NC
