📋 Description

• Build and maintain backend systems supporting a real-time learning AI • Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines connecting live user and merchant behavior to self-learning systems • Contribute directly to the real-time learning engine • Champion AI-assisted coding, streamlined CI/CD, and stronger QA practices • Own production deployments, investigate logs and traces, identify root causes, and improve testing • Make strategic decisions shaping core architecture • Collaborate with AI researchers, software engineers, sales, and marketing teams • Manage multiple parallel agentic coding sessions

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production backend systems • Hands-on daily experience with agentic AI coding tools, comfortable managing multiple parallel sessions • Experience building APIs and data pipelines connecting live systems to downstream analytics or ML systems • Comfortable picking up any language; typically Python, SQL, TypeScript, and React • Able to rapidly become productive in a complex, unfamiliar codebase • Collaborative in shared context and problem framing; self-sufficient at the code level • Strong math or analytical background • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GCP • Experience with ClickHouse queries and optimization • Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment • E-commerce industry knowledge or empathy • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales and marketing, including hands-on customer integrations • Must not require Product Genius to sponsor a visa, as the company is not sponsoring visas at this time
