📋 Description

• Support application development, database engineering, data integration, analytics enablement, and operational database activities for the GrantSolutions platform • Design, develop, administer, optimize, monitor, secure, and troubleshoot Oracle and PostgreSQL database solutions • Develop SQL, PL/SQL, and PL/pgSQL code for application functionality, reporting, integrations, and business operations • Create database migration scripts, schema updates, release deployment packages, and automated deployment processes • Build and support ETL workflows, data transformation, validation, batch processing, and data integration pipelines • Analyze data models, database schemas, ERDs, enterprise data flows, and data mappings • Configure and support AWS database and data services including RDS, Redshift, S3, DMS, SCT, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, KMS, and IAM • Implement database migration, replication, modernization, monitoring, backup, recovery, high availability, encryption, and access control capabilities • Perform database performance tuning and resolve production database, data quality, integration, and performance issues • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, data engineers, business stakeholders, and Federal partners • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, code reviews, sprint reviews, and retrospectives • Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps initiatives • Develop technical documentation, database tests, regression tests, migration tests, and deployment verification • Support production releases, incident troubleshooting, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and post-deployment validation • Leverage approved AI-powered development tools and identify AI and intelligent automation opportunities • Support data governance, security, privacy, compliance, FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP requirements • Evaluate emerging database, cloud, AI, and data engineering technologies

🎯 Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust; approved adjudication required before onboarding • Bachelor’s degree required • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oracle database development, database engineering, ETL development, data integration, or related software engineering roles • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL • Hands-on experience with AWS database solutions, including Amazon RDS for Oracle, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS DMS, AWS SCT, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS KMS, and IAM • Hands-on experience implementing AWS database migration and replication solutions • Experience with ETL, data transformation, batch processing, data integration, and cloud-native data pipeline platforms such as Matillion ETL or similar • Understanding of relational database architecture, data modeling, ERDs, normalization, indexing, query optimization, transaction management, and referential integrity • Experience with enterprise database deployments, production operations, database testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Agile development, source control, and incident/root-cause analysis • Experience using Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, or Azure DevOps • Experience using approved AI-assisted development tools or automation practices • Understanding of Responsible AI, AI governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and secure AI adoption • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities
