📋 Description

• Lead project teams supporting quality and project management goals • Assist with scope and project proposals • Meet project deadlines and support processes and procedures for meeting deadlines • Mentor and train less experienced colleagues • Build and maintain effective client relationships • Maintain current technical skills in protection and control system design for the electric utility power grid through on-the-job work and formal training • Develop drawings and assist in preparing design packages using CAD/drafting skills • Prepare functional diagrams, logic diagrams, AC power elementary drawings, DC schematics, control house plan views, wiring diagrams, and control panel elevations • Prepare support documentation for construction and maintenance of protection and control systems • Follow established design and CAD drafting standards while ensuring quality, accuracy, and completeness • Identify process improvement ideas and communicate them through appropriate management channels • Compile bills of material

🎯 Requirements

• AS Degree or 2 years of formal post-high school specialized trade (technical school/certifications) • Experience working directly with electricity, preferably in utilities • Minimum 5 years of design experience • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD • Microsoft Office product application proficiency • Excellent document management and organization skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to multitask and work with a variety of projects and deadlines • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to lead a small team • Knowledge and ability to apply fundamentals of AC and DC electricity • Knowledge and ability to apply protection and control schemes/concepts • Formal post-high school specialized trade related to electricity • AutoCAD electrical drafting experience • Ability to create custom applications using Visual Basic, LISP, or macros • MicroStation experience
