📋 Description

• Lead and manage a team of developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and other teams to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables • Ensure adherence to project timelines, milestones, and quality standards • Provide technical expertise and make decisions on architecture, technology stack, and implementation approaches • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality, best practices, and coding standards • Collaborate with design and QA teams for project coordination and alignment • Monitor project progress and address issues or risks • Stay updated on Magento 2 trends, advancements, and emerging technologies • Foster a collaborative and innovative development environment with knowledge sharing and continuous improvement • Integrate and customize third-party systems and APIs • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement caching and database improvements • Lead critical production issue response, including diagnostics, root-cause analysis, fixes, mitigation, and stakeholder communication • Ensure secure development practices, including RBAC, CSRF/XSS prevention, and secure API access • Configure Cloudflare firewall rules, DDoS protection, rate limiting, bot mitigation, and spam prevention • Own website performance and prioritize Core Web Vitals • Optimize Redis, configure Varnish full-page caching, manage RabbitMQ, and ensure efficient search functionality • Take accountability for the success and stability of production deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 7–10 years of overall web development experience • 7 years of experience working as a technical lead, preferably in Magento 2 projects • Experience managing and leading development teams • Experience overseeing the end-to-end development process for Magento 2 projects • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL • Deep knowledge of Magento 2 (Open Source and/or Adobe Commerce) • Magento 2 custom module development • Knowledge of Magento 2 architecture and database structure • Experience with Magento 2 REST, GraphQL, asynchronous, and bulk APIs • Understanding of Magento 2 indexing, cron jobs, and caching architecture • Basic understanding of UI Components and KnockoutJS for backend rendering • Experience with multi-store, B2B, and MSI configurations • Experience with Varnish Cache, Redis, and Fastly • Experience with RabbitMQ • Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and Adobe Live Search or standard Elastic-powered search • Optional skills: PHPUnit, Cloudflare, New Relic • Magento 2 Professional Developer Certification (optional) • Bonus experience with Hyvä Theme, Hyvä Checkout, Adobe Commerce modules, Docker-based local development tools, headless Magento setups, Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento migrations
