📋 Description

• Provide expert deep technical sales support for Red Hat Lightwell go-to-market strategies • Remove organizational, technical, and competitive blockers to Red Hat Lightwell adoption • Articulate Red Hat’s value proposition to developers, build and platform engineers, application development leadership, and security and compliance organizations • Conduct hands-on work in customer build environments, technical architecture walkthroughs, business-value conversations, workshops, and implementation of dependency management, artifact signing, attestation, and pipeline enforcement best practices • Work with the Lightwell business unit and engineering to test, document, and demonstrate features and relay coverage gaps, ecosystem requests, and competitive intelligence • Collaborate with Red Hat sales, Customer Success, Consulting Services, and partner teams • Serve as Red Hat’s technical lead for trusted software supply chain engagements • Partner with Account Solution Architects and Account Executives to drive Lightwell adoption in new and existing accounts • Lead technical conversations for developers/build engineers, engineering leadership, and security/compliance organizations • Defend Red Hat’s differentiation against market alternatives • Position software supply chain offerings across the Red Hat portfolio • Configure customer builds to resolve against Lightwell repositories, execute builds, and troubleshoot alongside engineers • Facilitate pre- and post-sales technical deep dives, proofs of concept, bake-offs, sprints, hackathons, and partner solutions • Identify and partner with customer stakeholders and advocate within customer teams • Advise on artifact management, mirroring, pipeline integration, disconnected environments, and air-gapped environments • Execute community outreach and customer advocacy, including conference speaking and blog posts • Deliver enablement and mentoring to the Red Hat Technical Sales community

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in a combination of software engineering, build/release engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or technical sales, including direct responsibility for software that carried real dependency and upgrade obligations • Telco experience needed • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in a customer or production build environment • Working command of at least two of Maven, pip, and npm, including dependency resolution, transitive dependency behavior, lockfiles, and version constraint semantics • Practical understanding of enterprise build configuration, registry and repository settings, and public package registry proxying and mirroring • Hands-on experience with enterprise artifact repositories and internal mirrors • Ability to configure, execute, and troubleshoot builds alongside customer engineers • Understanding of build reproducibility, disconnected and air-gapped delivery, and multi-language codebases • Knowledge of SLSA build integrity levels and practical requirements of Level 3 • Knowledge of SBOM formats and lifecycle, including SPDX and CycloneDX • Experience with artifact signing and verification, HSM-backed signing, attestation, and enforcement at build and admission • Knowledge of VEX and CSAF and machine-readable exploitability data in vulnerability triage • Understanding of provenance, typosquatting, and dependency confusion threat models • Understanding of upstream open source contribution practice and remediation workflows • Experience delivering technical presentations and leading business value sessions • Credibility with engineering audiences and ability to hold leadership or executive conversations, including public speaking • Ability to represent product coverage and roadmap accurately • Willingness to travel as needed • Previous sales engineering, technical sales, or similar experience preferred • Professional software development experience in Java or Python ecosystems preferred • Experience owning CI/CD systems, artifact repositories, or internal developer platforms at enterprise scale preferred • DevSecOps experience preferred • Application security or product security experience preferred • Sustained participation in an upstream open source project preferred • Foundational knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and Ansible Automation Platform preferred • Familiarity with compliance regimes relevant to key-account geographies preferred
