📋 Description

• Modernize a mission-critical legacy system managing billions of dollars in international security cooperation • Replace the legacy fat-client application with a modern web platform through quick iterations and an Agentic AI Software Development Lifecycle • Decompose problems into precise specifications for agent implementation and own merged code • Conduct rigorous code reviews, test-driven development, human review on every merge, and CI scanning • Ship small, reviewable changes while maintaining an always-green main branch and beta environment • Build complete vertical slices across UI, API, database, infrastructure, and pipeline • Own TypeScript/Node domain services behind REST APIs, including case lifecycle state machines, document generation, pricing, payment-schedule calculations, workflow, and milestone logic • Extract legacy business rules from Java, PL/SQL packages, and database triggers into an evidence-cited knowledge base and reimplement them with parity tests and golden-master harnesses • Implement append-only audit trails, segregation-of-duties enforcement, reproducible calculations, and interface controls • Rebuild file-based and API integrations with partner systems using contract-first design and emulators • Stand up infrastructure, debug pipelines, reason about security controls, and collaborate through documentation, demos, pairing, and harness improvements

🎯 Requirements

• US citizenship and eligibility for a US SECRET clearance • 7+ years building and operating production web systems • Strong track record building production web systems, with demonstrable depth in server-side and domain-model work • Hands-on experience with agentic AI development tools (Codex and/or Claude Code, or equivalent) on real codebases • Fluency across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and security fundamentals • Ability to read PL/SQL and legacy Java • Experience with financial calculation engines, audit- or compliance-sensitive systems, or complex state machines • Travel no more than once per quarter • Mentors the mid deliberately
