📋 Description

• Produce accurate payroll entries for unionized employees represented by over 175 local CBAs • Review and interpret Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) ratifications and apply them to payroll • Prepare and analyze union health & welfare and pension contribution calculations and monthly reporting • Maintain, analyze, and report accurate union dues deductions as instructed by local unions • Prepare and remit contributions for union 401K reporting weekly • Audit payroll cycles for deductions and transactions, including retro calculations, union dues, FLSA premiums, and union benefit premiums • Process special payments in compliance with collective bargaining agreements, including vacation buy backs, boot allowances, safety, and other union bonuses • Collaborate with HR Management, Total Rewards, HRIS, Field Management, and cross-functional payroll teams • Prepare payroll reports as requested • Transfer knowledge to other team members and support the team • Perform payroll system testing and configuration and other assigned duties • Focus on general ledger and account reconciliations

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing • Basic knowledge of the regular rate of pay calculation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) • Experience with Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams • Minimum of 3 years payroll, finance, or other relevant experience • Experience with processing payroll for large companies, 10K or more employees • Experience with multiple union payrolls • Experience with Workday or similar HCM system • Intermediate level of Excel with emphasis on pivot tables and v look up • Experience with payroll applications, such as ADP, Lawson, Ceridian, and Kronos • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred • Republic Services is not able to provide sponsorship for this position
