📋 Description

• Define the architectural pattern for each client engagement, including skill decomposition, tool orchestration, data flow, integration approach, and deployment model • Ensure architecture aligns with security best practices and client requirements • Design client-specific guardrails • Review and sign off AI Workflow Engineer builds against the agreed architectural pattern • Own integration architecture with client systems, including authentication, data ingress, downstream deployment, and monitoring • Make platform-versus-custom decisions with the Head of Platform Engineering and Product • Design and document the target technical state, transition plan, and operational readiness criteria for handover • Own the engagement technical risk register and escalate risks to the Delivery Principal • Serve as Technical Lead across multiple client engagements • Partner with the Delivery Principal on scope, timeline, and technical feasibility decisions • Present technical architecture to senior client stakeholders, including CTOs, technical partners, information security, and enterprise architects • Specify integrations and work with the platform development team on integrations, connectivity, and upstream system integration • Guide AI Workflow Engineers on architectural choices, prompt strategy, and evaluation design • Contribute technical input to commercial conversations and flag scope creep and platform-limit risks • Develop and mentor AI Workflow Engineers and Integration Engineers • Provide structured technical input to functional managers on capability development • Contribute architectural patterns and technical playbooks to the Technical Lead community • Refine standards based on engagement experience • Mentor newer Technical Leads and contribute to cohort capability development • Ensure compliance with client requirements, data protection, security standards, and AiVA architectural standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience • 8+ years of software engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise integration experience • Track record of leading complex technical architecture on client-facing delivery engagements • Comfortable presenting to senior technical audiences • Experience with AI or automation platforms at enterprise scale • Familiarity with agent frameworks, LLM APIs, and orchestration patterns • Cloud certification (Azure preferred, AWS, GCP relevant) or equivalent demonstrated cloud architecture experience • Strong integration engineering background, including authentication, data pipelines, deployment infrastructure, and monitoring • Comfortable working across geographies and time zones, including US, UK, and EMEA clients • Experience in legal, professional services, or knowledge-worker environments preferred, not required • Senior client-facing technical presence with Chief Technology Officers, enterprise architects, and technical partners • Ability to direct technical work and determine when to intervene versus delegate • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities • Deep interest in AI-enabled automation architecture and current AI engineering practices • Resilience under client technical pressure • Continuous learning and adaptation as the AiVA platform evolves • Quality-first approach to architectural clarity, evaluation, and observability • Successful completion of a pre-employment background and drug screen • Candidates should refrain from using AI tools during interviews
