• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, taxes, and deductions • Develop systems for processing payroll transactions • Lead year-end processes and partner with benefits and finance to meet deadlines • Respond promptly to employee payroll calls, emails, and inquiries • Create and implement security administration policies and protocols for HRIS access • Maintain HRIS employee records, job details, compensation, benefits, and performance data • Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality • Generate reports and dashboards using HRIS data • Partner with the HRIS vendor to improve utilization of data and system capabilities • Research system enhancements and communicate changes to stakeholders • Provide basic HRIS user support, troubleshoot issues, and answer questions • Assist HR staff with system-related inquiries • Collaborate with HR and Finance to test and implement system enhancements, deployments, and updates
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience • Minimum of 3 years’ experience running a bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees • Experience with HRIS systems such as Paycor, ADP, Paylocity, or UKG • Experience in leading the full utilization of an HRIS system with HR team and managers preferred; aptitude for leadership, energy, and ability to teach peers on technology accepted if no direct experience • Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit • Experience providing information to outside auditors • Ability to project manage time and responsibilities • Customer service focus when working with employees, managers, and leaders on payroll issues • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize customer needs quickly • Background processing payroll for multi-shift, multi-time-zoned, and/or remote staff preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to create and run reports for compliance or team needs • High integrity and ability to resolve problems and provide excellent customer service • Knowledge of documentation and reporting tools, including Microsoft 365 and MS Teams • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a remote environment • Ability to operate standard office equipment • Ability to regularly speak, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
