• Lead qualification, assessment, and selection of program-specific suppliers • Oversee independent assessments of supplier quality and technical performance • Implement and sustain APQP and statistical process control methodologies across the supply base • Partner with Programs, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive supplier execution strategies • Lead Root Cause Corrective Action activities for systemic or high-risk supplier issues • Represent Raytheon on corporate sourcing and performance teams • Manage supplier technical and quality risks affecting cost, schedule, and performance across more than $10B in annual material sales • Develop, mentor, and grow a geographically and technologically diverse team • Serve as senior interface with supplier executive leadership, customers, and corporate stakeholders • Negotiate terms and manage divergent viewpoints when resolving performance gaps • Drive proactive and reactive supplier quality assurance activities and continuous capability and performance improvements • Implement APQP across suppliers and ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements • Ensure adequate supplier and sub-tier capacity • Protect Raytheon production and reduce risk across programs and businesses • Develop and execute the Supplier Assurance strategy • Enhance supplier capability across a wide selection of production technologies • Measure success through timely delivery of quality-assured products, FAI, first-time yield, supplier quality performance, escapes, and PPM
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 12 years’ experience • Relevant experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or other engineering fields • 14+ years’ experience applying APQP, statistical process controls, RCCA, and other quality methodologies • Experience within aerospace and defense or similarly complex industries • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams • U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract • Demonstrated leadership of multi-level teams in a complex, global environment • Strong organizational partnership skills across engineering, operations, supply chain, program management, and finance • Ability to negotiate complex supplier performance issues and influence outcomes at executive levels • Experience managing suppliers across multiple regions and international markets • Background supporting defense programs, including familiarity with regulatory, contractual, and customer-specific requirements • Demonstrated capability building high-performing teams in technical, mission-critical domains • Ability to travel 50% of the time to supplier locations as needed • Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories
