📋 Description

• Own full-stack features used by hundreds of thousands of learners and tutors worldwide • Work directly with designers and stakeholders to build experiments and streamline operations • Define problems with users and teammates, contribute product ideas, and lead work from prototypes and experiments through deployment • Break ambiguous work into manageable steps and coordinate contributions when needed • Write simple, readable code and improve patterns for future work • Support teammate growth through code reviews and pairing sessions • Build scalable, safe interactions between students and tutors • Participate in the interview process, including code reading, product ideation, programming, systems design, culture fit, and reference calls

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer • Track record of leading full-stack projects from ambiguous problem through launch and iteration • Ability to anticipate risks and balance speed, quality, and user experience tradeoffs • Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Postgres, or ability to ramp up quickly • User-focused product-building approach • Ability to move quickly while maintaining code quality • Ability to work independently and fill gaps as needed • Availability to work in a US timezone • Bonus: deep technical experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Postgres, AWS, and GCP • Bonus: experience building mobile apps • Bonus: experience in education or ed-tech
