📋 Description

• Set the technical vision and long-term strategy for Signifyd's enterprise cloud infrastructure • Define architectural strategy for LLM-powered and agentic tools, self-healing infrastructure, and automated root-cause analysis • Own the multi-quarter roadmap for GCP and Kubernetes cloud capabilities • Set standards for SLOs, incident management, platform health, access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, cloud capacity, and FinOps • Productize CI/CD, deployment, and build tooling into a cohesive self-service platform • Define platform standards and golden paths that improve developer experience • Resolve complex infrastructure challenges and deliver durable systemic fixes • Drive cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering roadmaps • Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and champion customer-focused engineering practices • Partner with engineering leaders, Staff+ peers, and cross-functional stakeholders on organization-wide problems

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, demonstrated mastery of Google Cloud Platform (GCP); AWS experience is a strong plus • Expert-level knowledge of cloud networking, protocols, and security best practices • Extensive expertise architecting and operating self-managed and cloud-managed Kubernetes environments at scale • Proven experience architecting and scaling data storage and streaming technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Kafka • Strong software development skills in Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript • Experience architecting secure, self-service infrastructure using Terraform • Experience with declarative CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and TeamCity • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude • Experience architecting scalable OpenTelemetry-based monitoring and tracing • Deep expertise in cloud security, FinOps, cost optimization, and performance efficiency • Track record of driving complex, cross-team technical initiatives to completion with minimal oversight • Exceptional analytical and communication skills • Fluency applying AI and machine learning to platform problems; experience with infrastructure for reliable AI/ML workloads at scale is a strong plus
