📋 Description

• Utilize DevOps principles to evaluate current and new solutions and provide data engineering support to EMR platforms • Enhance infrastructure and data initiatives supporting real-time health alerts • Help frontline and support teams quickly identify problems and reduce mean time to repair • Provide after-action reports to improve understanding of service health • Lead, inspire, and support team members to drive performance and engagement • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and strategic vendor partners • Design and implement solutions for internal customers • Work with other teams to understand and deliver requirements • Develop and drive automation opportunities across databases and AWS • Continuously improve processes, reliability, and efficiency • Identify and enhance operational support tools and network monitoring solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Willingness to learn and become an expert in new technologies • Effective time management and ability to work independently and with a team • Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Initiative and ownership of complex issues through resolution • Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and MongoDB • Strong expertise in Apache Flink and Apache Kafka for real-time data processing • Solid foundation in a single-node Python framework • Experience with PySpark • Experience in SQL, stored procedures, and data modelling • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP; GCP and/or AWS • Some experience with Terraform coding • Experience with modern big-data storage technologies, including Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta; Iceberg preferred • Good experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow, and Dataproc • Expertise with data analytics • Strong business ownership and customer focus • Advanced oral and written English language and communication skills • Preferred: experience in query optimization, resource allocation and management, and data lake performance using Presto and SQL • Preferred: Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins • Preferred: Palantir Foundry • Preferred: statistics or computational mathematics, including Bayesian and Frequentist approaches, NumPy, and PyMC3 • Some experience with AWS database-related services, including DMS, Glue, Athena, and Textract • Linux RHEL and CentOS scripting
