📋 Description

• Independently conduct on-site property risk assessments and field inspections of existing and limited prospective policyholders • Identify key loss drivers, property risk engineering exposures, deficiencies, and appropriate controls • Partner with insureds and customers to deliver practical risk improvement recommendations and resolve deficiencies • Generate technical property risk engineering reports and related documents • Collaborate with Risk Analysts on insured risk solutions • Partner with Technical/Project Specialists on risk engineering projects and initiatives • Mentor junior and less experienced Risk Engineering Consultants • Coordinate with internal and external resources on risks of all complexity levels • Assess evolving industrial processes and provide technical judgment • Travel within the assigned region, including occasional overnight stays and infrequent out-of-territory air travel

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline preferred • 8+ years in technical and/or engineering related experience • Property experience inclusive of high-hazard property exposure required • Experience evaluating high-hazard occupancies such as plastics manufacturing, aerosols, perfumes, sawmills, and other combustible or sprinkler-dependent operations • Deep property risk engineering expertise • Strong sprinkler system knowledge • Experience in standard and middle-market property space with modern manufacturing risks • Strong understanding of NFPA Codes and Standards or equivalent Factory Mutual Guidelines • Proficient in Microsoft Word and basic knowledge of Excel • Must be able to travel by car regularly, with limited air travel • Good command of fundamental and advanced technical concepts, practices, and procedures • Excellent communication skills, including communicating difficult or technical decisions with confidence and precision • High proficiency across Property Risk Engineering core competencies
