📋 Description

• Design, develop, and test backend applications and services using Java, Node.js, and PostgreSQL • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure • Partner directly with clients to gather requirements, provide technical recommendations, and communicate progress and tradeoffs • Collaborate with engineers on software architecture, APIs, and microservices • Write unit tests and follow test-driven development practices • Translate business requirements into technical specifications with product managers and stakeholders • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security • Debug and troubleshoot software issues across the stack, including live client environments • Manage client expectations and priorities across multiple concurrent projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Direct client-facing experience required • Strong programming skills in Java and Node.js • Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL/Storage, or similar • Experience with RESTful API design and development • Experience with Git and other version control systems • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills • Client management, communication, and teamwork skills; comfortable presenting technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders • Understanding of modern DevOps principles • USA-based, working Eastern or Central Standard Time • Must not require EAD, OPT, or H1B authorization • Nice-to-have: Docker or Kubernetes experience • Nice-to-have: CI/CD pipeline experience • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus
