📋 Description

• Provide technical and functional support to TRISTAR’s Claims Operations teams and clients, focusing on claims-related applications including the RMIS suite • Analyze complex claims application, system, and workflow issues and determine appropriate solutions • Serve as a subject matter resource for claims applications and RMIS products • Perform initial triage and basic troubleshooting for Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 inquiries through the IT Service Desk • Perform basic Microsoft 365 administrative functions following SOPs and training • Evaluate claims processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities • Partner with Claims Operations, CSU, development teams, and stakeholders to translate business needs into functional system requirements • Research application issues and distinguish workflow, configuration, system, data, and defect causes • Recommend system configuration, workflow, procedure, and process changes • Participate in planning, testing, evaluation, and implementation of claims applications and enhancements • Develop testing strategies and business-use scenarios; perform user acceptance testing • Assess operational impact of system changes and advise on implementation, training, workflow, and readiness • Analyze Service Desk trends, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions • Escalate issues to CSU, development teams, vendors, or other technical resources when appropriate • Develop and maintain procedures, documentation, SOPs, workflow guides, and training materials • Design and deliver training on claims applications, enhancements, workflow changes, and new functionality • Consult with users on effective claims application use and practical solutions • Participate in cross-functional claims technology, implementation, workflow redesign, and process improvement projects • Manage assigned projects and complex application-support initiatives with limited supervision • Provide recommendations to management regarding applications, processes, enhancements, and training needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field preferred • Minimum of two to five years of experience in systems analysis, application support, technical support, software implementation, or a related IT role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience supporting enterprise applications preferred • Experience within the insurance, workers’ compensation, or third-party administrator (TPA) industry preferred • Strong knowledge of claims operations workflows, terminology, insurance concepts, and claims handling processes • Hands-on claims operations experience • Working knowledge of claims management/RMIS applications • Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft applications, Microsoft 365, and standard desktop computing environments • General understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, and connectivity • Ability to analyze user-reported issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions • Ability to develop SOPs, step-by-step instructions, training materials, and system documentation • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills • Strong attention to detail and accurate ticket and issue-resolution records • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple service requests, projects, and deadlines • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating application issues and determining resolution or escalation
