📋 Description

• Establish policy, strategy, and best practices to on-ramp the Coast Guard's cloud infrastructure • Lead software design and development architecture for high-performance services hosted on massive compute clusters and AWS Cloud Infrastructure • Stand up an IL4 Landing Zone with Immortal Jellyfish, baseline platform, automation deployment, and repeatable templates • Lead testing strategy, performance tuning, and optimization for cloud-native applications • Ensure high availability and efficiency of cloud-based services • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to innovate and launch cloud-based services • Lead the design and execution of software solutions on large-scale compute clusters and AWS Cloud Infrastructure • Guide junior team members and refine processes • Evaluate technical needs, create task breakdowns, and oversee design accuracy and completeness

🎯 Requirements

• Top Secret security clearance • Twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required; Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical degrees considered • Experience, certifications and demonstrated skills can substitute for a degree • Master's degree in a technical field may substitute for two years of experience • PhD degree in a technical field may substitute for four years of experience • Strong experience designing and developing AWS Cloud Architecture • Experience with AWS compute, storage, and event-driven application services • Object-oriented or functional programming with Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python, or Rust • Proficiency with AWS SDKs/APIs and Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform • Knowledge of agile development methodologies • Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jira, and source code management tools • Understanding of containers, build systems, and infrastructure automation using Docker and Kubernetes • Ability to perform high-level requirements analysis, software development, integration, and testing with autonomy
