📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable dbt models in Snowflake • Transform raw financial, tax, and revenue data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets • Develop and optimize ELT pipelines and automate data extraction from source systems • Build and support Tableau dashboards and certified data sources for finance, tax, and accounting stakeholders • Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close with accurate datasets, reconciliations, and reporting • Provide data, documentation, and historical/point-in-time extracts for internal and external audits • Implement and maintain SOX-aligned controls, including testing, peer review, change management, and access governance • Establish data lineage, documentation, and automated data quality tests • Identify workflow optimization opportunities and provide ongoing analytics support to finance and tax teams • Monitor and tune Snowflake performance and cost • Troubleshoot pipeline and model issues through root cause analysis • Document data models, processes, and technical efforts • Manage multiple projects from requirements through deployment • Communicate technical details to technical and non-technical stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Minimum of 10 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence roles • At least 3 years building production dbt models on Snowflake • Working understanding of financial data, tax and revenue reporting, and internal control environments such as SOX • Advanced SQL skills with deep experience in Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau • Strong understanding of dimensional/star-schema data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data quality best practices • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously • Commitment to data accuracy, documentation, lineage, and controls • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing Snowflake environments • Expert-level dbt development, including tests and documentation • Experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards, published data sources, and extracts • Experience building ELT pipelines from source systems into Snowflake • Experience working with tax, revenue, billing, or other financial data • Experience operating within SOX or similar control frameworks • Experience supporting month-, quarter-, and year-end close with timely, reconciled data and reporting • Preferred: experience automating data extraction from ERP, tax, and financial systems • Preferred certifications: dbt Analytics Engineering Certification; SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer; Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist
