📋 Description

• Design and engineer complex Microsoft Azure platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards • Own and evolve Azure platform domains including identity, networking, governance, and DevOps pipelines • Integrate hybrid cloud environments using Azure networking and identity services • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI • Advance Azure Landing Zone governance, identity, networking, and security components • Implement and operationalize cloud standards, engineering patterns, and guardrails • Enhance observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights • Implement cloud cost optimization and financial transparency practices, including tagging, budgeting, and usage analytics • Lead monitoring, analysis, and optimization of cloud resource utilization and platform performance • Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows • Build automation frameworks for provisioning, monitoring, and operational tasks using AI-assisted engineering tools • Develop reusable templates, scripts, and modules for self-service platform capabilities • Embed governance controls, policy enforcement, and configuration management into automation workflows • Mentor Systems Engineers and technical peers • Support Agile ceremonies and contribute knowledge, documentation, tooling, and best practices to the Cloud Center of Excellence • Implement Azure governance controls including Azure Policy, RBAC, and resource organization • Support Entra ID identity governance and least-privilege models • Lead cloud Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and implementation • Implement resilient, highly available solutions with availability zones, automated failover, and cloud-native backups • Evaluate emerging Azure, AI, and automation capabilities and recommend platform enhancements • Provide technical guidance on cloud engineering best practices and modern architectural approaches

🎯 Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; WoodmenLife will not sponsor work visas • Resume must include full name, current residential address, email address, and phone number • 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure or platform engineering experience, including recent, sustained hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise-scale Azure environments • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code; Bicep preferred, with strong scripting and automation experience required • Advanced Windows/Linux, Entra ID/AD, and hybrid networking background • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern Git-based workflows • Proven experience with cloud cost management, observability, and performance optimization • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring skills • Extensive governance experience with Azure Policy, RBAC, and tagging standards • Expertise with ExpressRoute, VPN, and Private Endpoints • Experience supporting modernization, migration, and automation initiatives • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred • Exposure to App Services, Functions, or AKS preferred • Recent hands-on Azure platform engineering experience in enterprise environments strongly preferred • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or Azure-native AI capabilities is a plus • Preferred certifications: AZ-305, AZ-400, and AZ-500 • Successful completion of applicable criminal background, credit, fingerprint, drug screen, and reference checks required as a condition of employment
