Trading Operations Associate (APAC Timezone)

Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will design and develop the data management layer for our platform. Data engineering at Alpaca spans across financial transactions, customer data, API logs, system metrics, analytics augmented data and third-party systems that affect both internal and external user's decision making. As our business grows, the complexity and volume of data will progressively grow, from billions of data points in a month today. The team is 100% distributed and remote.

• Design and oversee the key forward and reverse ETL patterns to expose the data to relevant stakeholders

Full-stack Engineer

• Ensure transactions are correctly recorded in appropriate systems facilitating successful settlement
• Investigation and resolution of failing transactions
• Processing of all eligible securities through the DTCC processing system
• Settle securities transactions by processing deliver orders (DOs) on DTCC RAD
• Collect marks-to-market on open contracts and money differences by processing Securities Payment Orders (SPOs)
• Pledge securities to pledgees for collateral through the collateral loan system
• Protect customer fully-paid-for positions and manage firm positions through the use of segregation and memo segregation procedures
• Process ACAT free deliveries and fail reversals (FRVs)
• Investigate & resolve cash and stock reconciliation issues
• Address settlement discrepancies and engage the Director of Brokerage Operations for prompt resolution
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, and procedures that govern this role and organization

Product Manager

• Alpaca is looking for a Product Manager to define and drive new product initiatives and manage the portfolio of existing products. In this role you will ideate and deliver features while closely collaborating with engineering, analytics, design, partnerships and many other cross functional teams across Alpaca. The Product team is 100% distributed and remote. This role will be reporting directly to the Group Product Manager.
• Lead Ideation, development and delivery of new products as well as manage portfolio of existing products in your group
• Drive product roadmap, plans, and clear specifications to consistently deliver quality products
• Actively manage and prioritize product backlog and participate in team agile practices
• Partner with business leaders and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback to identify and execute against the highest value opportunities
