Description

• Develop integrated solutions on Rocky Linux for deployment in customer environments • Write and maintain RPM spec files and build RPM packages • Build Linux disk images and bootable ISOs • Build images for public clouds like AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows and/or Bitbucket pipelines • Write scripts in Bash and/or Python • Document complex systems and procedures • Collaborate with external stakeholders to understand requirements and demo capabilities • Maintain scripts, container definitions, and other sources in a multi-user Git environment • Build OCI containers with Docker, Podman, and/or Buildah • Use and maintain containers in OCI container registries like ORAS artifacts

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Linux systems engineer • Experience in RPM-based Linux distributions like Fedora, CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, or Rocky Linux • Previous RPM packaging and maintenance experience a plus • Experience with Ansible or similar configuration-management technology preferred • Ability to write technical and non-technical documentation • Friendly, collaborative, and humble attitude • Experience in a DevOps environment preferred • Experience working with external stakeholders • Knowledge of software development best practices
