• The Hardware Engineering team at Flock Safety is looking for a Hardware Solutions Engineer to join us. You will be responsible for augmenting the team with hardware design and prototyping skillsets and subject matter expertise in order to evaluate new products, technologies, and improvement opportunities for our current portfolio. As part of your work on new product growth and product improvement opportunities, you will be working cross-functionally across internal and external HW and SW engineering teams, as well as internal product management and business development stakeholders
• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years experience • Experience in Applications, Solutions, or Systems engineering, preferably in the development of IoT, smart-cities, mobile, or camera electronics. • Proven experience in designing and developing electrical systems. • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Altium) for schematics and PCB layout design. • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles. • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs. • Experience in design, simulation and validation of signal integrity and power integrity. • Experience in Bill of Material creation and component procurement. • Experience with testing and validation procedures for electronics products. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Hands on skills for electronics prototyping and rework (soldering, etc.) • Proven cross-functional communication skills
