• Generate sales of Lygos sustainable products to industrial markets to drive revenue in the water treatment segment • Manage distributor network to meet sales targets, drive new leads and expand our footprint • Manage Hubspot customer database and sales funnel • Sales lead for direct customers in Water Treatment, keeping up to date forecast and acting as point person contact • Establish a pipeline of sales opportunities and progress those opportunities to close • Co-lead customer presentations with our Application Leaders • Attend industry conferences, trades shows and other events to generate leads and engage with customers • Establish cross-functional/multi-level relationships with customers to foster collaboration and new product innovation
• 3-5 yrs specialty chemical sales experience with major chemical manufacturers or distributors within the water treatment industry • Technical degree • Experience managing distributors • Solution based selling approach • Experience negotiating sales contracts and distribution deals • Experience leading the negotiation and execution of sales agreements • Track record of developing pipelines, with the ability to progress and close sales opportunities • Experience using CRM systems to compile customer information, interactions and track sales opportunities • Solution-based selling mindset with the ability to collaborate with multiple functions within the organization (technology, marketing, application development) • Passion for taking new products to market with a strong interest in sustainability • Highly motivated and tenacious, ability to think outside of the box to develop and generate leads and a strong sales pipeline • Nice-to-haves (but not required): Experience using Hubspot
