📋 Description

• Make high-quality, data-driven and experience-driven decisions about the current and next generation of the production platform, and deliver the results • Own and build testing, build, and deployment processes in a high-scale PaaS environment • Collaborate across the company on production-system design, standards, technology choices, and product integration • Deliver predictable, safe, and reliable changes to production systems • Help shape collaboration practices within the Platform Engineering team • Build out the company’s Platform/Reliability practice on a small but growing team • Report directly to the VP of Reliability • Participate directly in decisions about priorities and execution • Participate in incident management and determine sensible platform practices • Create and maintain comprehensive internal documentation for systems and processes • Participate in periodic on-call rotations for owned services

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in Non-Abstract Systems design and implementation • Strong proficiency in Python and Golang • In-depth experience with Kubernetes (CKA or equivalent or greater) • Experience with observability principles and technologies, including SLI/SLO definition and tracking • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience working with a globally distributed team in delivery • Passion for reliability and operational excellence • Ability to estimate scope of work accurately and coordinate with stakeholders to address risks • Experience with software development best practices, including code review, testing, CI/CD, version control, automation, and debugging • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues, with a focus on ownership and accountability • Experience working on a SaaS/PaaS product across multiple cloud providers is a bonus • Experience with CircleCI, Chronosphere (Prometheus), Splunk, Bazel, Istio, Playwright, Karpenter, and GitHub Actions is a bonus • Experience with AWS, GCP, and particularly Azure is a bonus • Experience participating in an on-call rotation is a bonus • Experience with Apache Airflow is a bonus • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States • Candidates must address current or future U.S. work visa sponsorship requirements
