📋 Description

• Design, build, implement, and support a new platform replacing a critical legacy system for an insurance line of business • Collaborate with an external implementation partner and cross-functional teams • Deliver enterprise workflow solutions supporting business operations and members • Design technical solutions and workflow components and reusable solutions • Develop enterprise integrations through APIs and messaging technologies • Support production environments and troubleshoot system failures and performance events • Contribute to workflow modernization and build organizational expertise in workflow technologies • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding • Design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems • Optimize application systems and procedures for capacity, operating time, response time, and desired results • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts • Serve as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead on small to medium efforts, or manage phases of medium to large efforts • Maintain technical skills in software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks • Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence • Provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers • Participate in periodic on-call support once the platform is operational

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards • 3 years of systems and programming experience • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise workflow applications using IBM BPM 8.x and/or IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) 24.x or 26.x • Expertise designing and implementing Processes, Human Services, Coaches, Coach Views, Dashboards, Toolkits, reusable components, and workflow orchestration capabilities • Experience integrating IBM BAW solutions using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JMS/MQ messaging, databases, and stored procedures • Experience across requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, technical documentation, and production support • Strong programming experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, SQL Server, and DB2 • Data modeling experience highly valued • Ability to troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, execute unit testing, support system/integration testing, and participate in code reviews • Experience working with customers to refine business requirements following BABOK practices • Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum delivery environments • Proven information technology skills used at BCBST • Proven analysis, design, and coding skills • Demonstrated success leading large and complex projects • Ability to translate technical and complex concepts into meaningful information • Ability to manage multiple tasks • Leadership skills • Effective communication with technical and non-technical coworkers • Sponsorship is not available for this position
